Les Shannon, une famille ordinaire vivant en 2149 alors que la Terre se meurt, est envoyée dans le passé, 85 millions d'années plus tôt à l’ère préhistorique. Ils rejoignent "Terra Nova", une organisation humaine à qui des scientifiques offrent une seconde chance pour reconstruire une civilisation. Mais la Terre promise et les habitants qui la peuplent, petits et géants, ne sont pas tous accueillants...

  800 words George Turner, veuf depuis peu, décide de quitter son travail de chroniqueur dans un grand journal de Sydney.
